Integrative Clinical Supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists

I offer integrative clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists at different stages of their professional development. My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in relational thinking.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision from the University of Derby, alongside an MSc in Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and a BSc (Hons) in Psychological Sciences from the University of Westminster. I bring over twenty years of experience working in mental health settings, which informs my clinical judgement and ability to work with complexity.
You can read more about my training and professional background on The Person Behind the Practice.
A Reflective Space for Your Practice
Supervision offers time to pause, think, and explore your clinical work with care, curiosity, and ethical attention. Together, we can make sense of challenging experiences, recognise strengths, and consider new possibilities.
I aim to create a containing supervisory relationship in which you can speak openly about uncertainty, clinical challenges, and moments when the work has not gone as hoped. Reflection sits alongside thoughtful challenge, shared learning, and attention to clinical responsibility.
My Integrative Approach
I draw on relational, psychodynamic, existential, cognitive behavioural (CBT), trauma-informed, and systemic perspectives, as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I also work with different parts of the self, exploring how internal experiences, conflicting needs, and patterns of relating may emerge within the therapeutic work.
Supervision is shaped around your experience, theoretical orientation, developmental needs, and professional context. I attend both to the content of the work and to its process, including what emerges emotionally and relationally within the therapeutic encounter. Where helpful, we also explore what unfolds within the supervisory relationship itself.
Our work together may include:
- Clinical understanding and formulation
- Therapeutic relationships, emotional dynamics, and countertransference
- Working with different parts of the self and internal conflicts
- Ethical dilemmas and professional boundaries
- Risk awareness and safeguarding
- Cultural, organisational, and personal influences on practice
- The emotional impact of clinical work
- Professional identity, confidence, and development
Connecting Theory and Practice
Alongside reflective exploration, I value thoughtful knowledge-sharing. Where helpful, I offer theoretical perspectives, clinical concepts, or evidence-based frameworks to deepen understanding and support the integration of theory with practice.
These are offered collaboratively, with space for your own thinking, questions, and clinical judgement.
We may also use imagery, metaphor, or reflective visualisation to explore complex material or moments when the work feels stuck. This is guided by your preferences and learning style.
Enquire About Supervision
